Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) technologies compare known image files against unknown image files and identify any matching files. When integrated into the ADF software solutions, they allow first responders and forensic examiners to detect image files that
- have been altered to escape detection
- are similar, or part of a series
- match a specific profile of images
ADF Solutions has developed two CBIR technologies
- ADF-ImageMatch is a software library that provides CBIR for approximate image matching, making use of multi-resolution wavelet image decomposition
- ADF-SoftCBIR is a software library for flexible image registration and pattern matching, and uses a combination of photometric and geometric pattern matching techniques
