ADF Solutions, Inc. has designed the following 2-day Digital First Responder Training and Certification programs to equip attendees with knowledge and skills to immediately extract conclusive evidence and intelligence from suspect computers and other digital media.

DFR Investigator: This class is intended for users with limited understanding of computers but who are involved in cyber investigations. They will learn what it means to search a computer for evidence/intelligence, how to do it without compromising the chain of custody, and what to expect from triaging a suspect computer as opposed to a full forensic examination.

DFR Examiner: This class is intended for users with advanced computer skills. This includes certified forensic examiners or users with equivalent training. DFR Examiner certified users can support DFR Investigator users and/or perform field and lab triage. They will learn how to execute complex searches, understand advanced features, and analyze the triage results.

Digital First Responder (DFR) Training & Certification Program

To obtain their DFR Certification, students must

• Participate in the 2-Day DFR training program (DFR Investigator or Examiner)
• Pass the online exam
• Perform a scan on a real case and provide ADF Solutions with a 'First Run Briefing'

Scheduling DFR Trainings

DFR training classes can be organized and held in most countries. Trainings are scheduled on a request basis and generally held at client locations. In the United States, trainings can also be held at the ADF's offices in Bethesda Maryland. Internationally, the DFR training classes are offered and organized by ADF Solutions and our designated resellers or partners. For countries where ADF has a training presence or training partners, local training instructors are available. For others, ADF will have to provide a trainer.
