Digital First Responder Training

Training for Triage-G2® and Triage-Examiner®

ADF Solutions, Inc., has designed the Digital First Responder training programs to equip users with knowledge and skills to use the ADF triage tools and immediately extract conclusive evidence and intelligence from computers and digital media. Three courses are currently offered.

  1. ADF Triage for Investigators:  For nontechnical investigators with limited computer skills who are involved in digital investigations
  2. ADF Triage for Examiners:  For forensic examiners and users with advanced computer skills
  3. Train the Trainer:  For agencies that want to have their own internal trainers conduct training courses for their users. ADF also provides trainers access to all the latest training materials.

ADF Triage for Investigators

A two-day class intended for users; typically case agents who have computer skills but are involved in digital investigations. Students will learn what it means to search a computer for evidence/intelligence, how to do it without compromising the chain of custody, and what to expect from triaging a suspect computer.

  • Create simple keyword SearchPaks®
  • Prepare USB drive using ADF Triage software (minimal options)
  • Run ADF Triage software on the suspect computer
  • Review the findings report for case relevancy

ADF Triage for Examiners

A two-day class intended for forensic examiners. They will learn how to prepare and execute complex searches, understand advanced features, and analyze detailed results.

  • Create advanced SearchPaks®
  • Prepare USB drive using ADF Triage software
  • Run ADF Triage software on suspect computer
  • Review the findings report for case relevancy and interpret for evidentiary value

ADF Triage – Train the Trainer

ADF Solutions offers agencies this program to have their own trainers train their users on the ADF Triage software. Selected trainers must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Be forensically trained (or equivalent)
  • Have prior training experience with investigators

This program is a two-day class:

  • Day one: ADF Triage for Investigators class training and overview
  • Day two: ADF Triage for Examiners class training and overview and review of ADF trainers guide

(*) Note: Prices quoted are for U.S. based course only. The Trainer’s fee includes: meals, airfare, hotel and ground transportation expenses.

  • Students are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses as required.
  • ADF training classes are conducted at the client site, any off-site classes will incur additional room rental charges.
  • International classes outside the U.S. and U.K. may incur additional travel charges for trainers.
