Quickly and Easily Scan Computers for Cyber-Related Crimes

Key Benefits

  • Simple USB key deployment provides ease of use
  • Minimal training needed
  • Find critical evidence in minutes
  • View results directly on suspect computer
  • Scan computers that are turned on or off

Today’s investigators and first responders must have to ability to quickly investigate and extract evidence from computers and other digital devices for access to time-sensitive information and to assist forensic labs by qualifying devices for seizure. However, the biggest challenges today are technical and complex software, bulky hardware, and time-consuming data collection and analysis.

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology (S&T), ADF has designed Triage-Responder specifically for nontechnical users with an easy-to-use, lightweight USB deployment and detailed field reporting capabilities.

Easy to use, Triage-Responder Requires No Technical Training

Designed for ease of use, Triage-Responder comes complete with preconfigured search profiles. As a result, nontechnical investigators and first responders can easily scan and analyze suspect computers without technical training. To ensure successful triage scans, it is highly recommended that all field investigators are minimally trained in basic forensic methods of collecting evidence from a computer to secure the chain of evidence.

Lightweight, USB-Deployed Tool Helps Get Results Quickly

ADF Triage-Responder is deployed in a plug-and-play approach using a small portable USB device, making it easy to use for nontechnical first responders and investigators. A simple two-step process to scan and analyze is all it takes to extract incriminating evidence from a digital device. When inserted into the target computers, Triage-Responder automatically collects information and identifies valuable evidence. The collected data can be viewed immediately on the target computer or later for further analysis.

This two-step tool is easy to use, requires no technical training and quickly delivers results

Cross-Platform Support Eliminates Need for Multiple Tools

When out in the field, it is critical that first responders and investigators have a simple, single tool that can extract evidence and intelligence from multiple devices and systems. Triage-Responder was designed with this requirement in mind and supports multiple computer platforms including Windows, Macintosh, and Linux.

Live Analysis of Windows Computers to Capture Volatile Evidence

When there are instances when first responders cannot risk losing valuable digital evidence by turning a suspect computer off, they need to be able to capture this evidence in the least intrusive and most documented method.  Triage-Responder allows live analysis of Windows computers that cannot be shut down and minimizes the risk of losing valuable evidence by capturing all volatile data including memory.

Confidently Maintain Chain of Evidence with a Forensically Sound Process

A forensically sound tool, Triage-Responder securely and rapidly captures evidence and intelligence while maintaining the integrity of the case and the chain of evidence with its ability to run scans on dead (off) computers.
