ADF Online Digital Forensics Training: faq

We've compiled a list of answers to frequently asked questions about ADF Solutions digital forensics training.

Is ADF online training synchronous or asynchronous?

The instruction is asynchronous, time independent and self paced so you can learn at your own speed. 

How long does the training take?

• Mobile Device Investigator (MDI) Certified User training typically takes most learners about 1 day (8 hours) to complete.
• Digital Evidence Investigator (DEI) Certified User training typically takes most learners about 2 days (16 hours) to complete.
• Triage-Investigator (TINV) Certified User training typically takes about 1.5 days (12 hours) to complete. Note Triage-Investigator Certified User training is coming soon. 

Are there any course prerequisites?

ADF software is built to be easy-to-learn. There are no prerequisites for ADF courses, basic computer proficiency is recommended.

Do I require any specific equipment?

• MDI Certified User Training - Recommended Setup
• DEI Certified User Training - Recommended Setup

What does the course consist of?

• MDI Certified User Training consists of 4 hours of video, hands on practicals, knowledge checks and a final exam.
• DEI Certified User Training consists of 7 hours of video, hands on practicals, knowledge checks and a final exam.

Is there a test?

Each course has a comprehensive exam at the end.

Do I receive a certification?

When you successfully pass the comprehensive exam you will receive an ADF Certified User Certificate for the product you've chosen to learn. You can earn Certified User Certificates for each ADF product. 

Do I have to share ADF software licenses with coworkers to participate?

ADF will extend a 30 day license for use during the training period.

What if I don’t have an ADF license? 

ADF will extend a 30 day license for use during the training period.

Can I start immediately?

Once you purchase you will receive an invitation to begin the course, licensing and downloads can be conducted during the first few modules.

How long do I have to complete the course?

You have 30 days to complete the training.
