Northwest Regional ICAC Conference for Law Enforcement

ICAC Northwest 2017 LogoADF will sponsor the Northwest Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Conference. Microsoft has partnered with ICAC to host the event which is designed to expand the efforts and knowledge base of law enforcement investigators, digital forensic examiners, and prosecutors. The event will provide highly specialized lab and lecture based training focused on investigating and prosecuting technology-facilitated crimes against children.  Anticipated curriculum will include both child sexual exploitation as well as human trafficking topics and will consist of lectures, case studies, computer labs and exhibitor workshops.

In this hands-on workshop, attendees will learn specific methods to streamline your digital investigations: quickly identify and collect files and artifacts; analyze the data to correlate people, events and files; and quickly generate court ready reports.

Specifically, attendees will learn how to:

  • Import hash sets from Project Vic and auto-tagging of matching images
  • Leverage time-line that combine files, actions and people into a single view
  • Filter results to identify high-value and most relevant data
  • Share the results of the examination with a portable stand-alone viewer
